Change Through Education, Equality & Ocean Conservation

The Ocean Bloom Academy is an international education initiative empowering women in Africa within the maritime tourism sector, while protecting the marine ecosystems of the Red Sea.

"We unite vocational training, ocean education for children, and scientific coral reef research into one integrated model."

At the heart of the project is a 25-metre wooden motor vessel, serving as a floating training platform and research base — a visible symbol of women's role in maritime tourism.

The project creates sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities while contributing to the protection of one of the world's most precious marine ecosystems.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

  • SDG 4 Quality Education — access to training & certification
  • SDG 5 Gender Equality — women in maritime professions
  • SDG 13 Climate Action — awareness & sustainable practice
  • SDG 14 Life Below Water — coral reef restoration & monitoring
